Speak Only Love

Thoughts create feelings, thoughts create actions, thoughts create things.

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7a

What if we started thinking and speaking of ourselves in love, compassion, kindness just as God above sees us, thinks of us and speaks of us to His angels. How would His talk differ from our self-talk? Should it not be the same if we are made in His image? How would that self-talk change if we owned our true purpose and stepped into the place of abundant power that God so freely gives? What if we stopped downing ourselves and started owned our lives in the Lord? We would be free from self-doubt and able to live in our purpose so strongly that the enemy would flee! They say thoughts come from two places, above or below. Where are most of your thoughts and self-talk words coming from? Are they from our cheerleader or our bully? Recognize which thoughts are from where, forgive and toss the bad ones, and replace them with 3 good ones. How would we talk to ourselves if the enemy were kicked out and gone?

“The enemy does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬

How we treat ourselves is how we teach and allow others to treat us, and eventually how we treat and think of others. If we are to be in the likeness of Christ, are we treating ourselves and others as Christ treats us?

“Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.”
Proverbs 4:23

Thoughts actually create the chemicals in our body as if the real thing is happening, therefore, creating the real thing to be forced into motion. Fear, anger, doubt, hate, happiness, joy, peace, love, these all create chemical reactions in our body to react accordingly. This is how we are able to get ourselves so Worked up over nothing and create the fear we are fearing!

We talk to ourselves 10-12 times more than we talk to others! We speak aloud at a rate of around 150-200 words a minute, we listen at 500-600 words a minute and we think at 1,300+ words a minute! Shouldn’t we be more careful without thoughts and self-talk especially considering how much it ambushes our brains!

Why do we decide to be our own worst critics? Isn’t the world mean enough? It is simply not our jobs or anyone else’s! That is a job for the Holy Spirit alone, and He does a mighty fine job of it!

Do not excuse or confuse negative self-talk, self-thoughts or self-actions for humbleness, they are all just forms self-abuse.

When we put ourselves down we put down our very creator, our Heavenly Father, our loving and caring God who created us with His bare hands, who picked out a piece of His very own soul to give to us, who breathed His breath of life into our very lungs. We are His masterpiece, His creation, and He created the Heavens and Earth just for us to play in! Then us being the mess we are, gave His only son for us, not to condemn us, but to save us!

How can we take that for granted and abuse Him with any negative self-talk or complaining! Who are we to insult His artwork, His masterpiece, His plan? Who are we to say that we were not worth dying for? I could imagine it feels like a dagger in the Big Guys heart! The heart of The Almighty God! 😱

No! Change your I AM’s! For whatever you say after those two most powerful words you are saying to the Almighty God, the Great I AM!

He is to be glorified for all His creations! Especially this one. You, me. Us!

Find the good in you, and those are the ONLY words you speak of yourself and ONLY THOSE WORDS!

DO NOT let ANY unwholesome talk come our of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs,
that it may benefit those who listen… Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, SLANDER, and every form of malice.
Be kind, and compassionate to one another forgiving each other
just as Christ forgave you! (including yourself)
~Eph 4:23

HOMEWORK: Stop this bad habit of negative self-talk in its tracks by doing this exercise! Get a pen and paper and write your I AM’s RIGHT NOW! Hang them on your bathroom mirror, say them to yourself every time you brush your teeth. Save them as your phone screen, hang them somewhere at work and in the car. GOAL: 100 I AM’s! YOU ARE WORTH IT. You are amazing and God deserves the love, glory, and appreciation for creating you, for putting a piece of Himself in you. DON’T WASTE ANOTHER MINUTE TAKING IT FOR GRANTED!

Because You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

“Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy THINK ABOUT SUCH THINGS.” Phil 4:8

We can use our words to lift up or tear down. Why use them as weapons against ourselves, against others and ultimately against our One True God, when we can use them to glorify, praise, honor, lift and bring the power of God into ourselves and others?

When we insult any of His creations, we insult Him! Why not use your words to bring power to the powerless, strength to the weak, healing to the sick, wholeness to the broken and especially to make the enemy run for the hills with his tail between his legs? Just by simply calling out the name Jesus!

All words and thoughts are powerful, USE YOUR WORDS FOR GOOD and ONLY GOOD!

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,
but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
~2 Tim 1:7

Rise up in your power and use your words and thoughts carefully, they make or break entire lives! Every word & thought is like a brick in the road, where is your road leading you? To glory and abundance or torture and pain?

You were taught with regard to your old life to put off your old self… to be made new in attitude of your minds, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully… for we are all members of one body… in your anger do not sin… and do not give the devil a foothold… do not steal, instead work, so that you may help those in need.
~Eph 4:22-28

How do you think God speaks to himself? Does He doubt himself? Does He bust his own chops? Does He doubt his power? What if He talked to Himself the way we talk to ourselves? Would we or the world have ever gotten created? Would He have been able to do any of the things He has done? No! Because negative words and thoughts are energy drainers! They poke holes in our soul and let all the power out, leaving nothing left to fulfill our purpose! We are to be Christ-like, loving, full of grace and mercy, kindness, forgiveness, compassion, peace, joy, understanding for all. Are you treating yourself this way? Are you treating others this way, Christ-like? We are made in Gods own image, and He gave this world and everything in it freely to us and all its abundance. We just have to own our power and take it and use it to live in our purpose to further His kingdom and glorify Him with it! If we do not step into our power, we are not able to live in our purpose and honor Him as He should be honored. We are not able to take all God gives us and offer it up to Jesus!

By hiding from our purpose and living small, we are basically ripping Jesus off!
By having negative self-talk we are insulting God.

All thoughts are a choice…

We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
~2 Cor 10:5

So I beg you, stand up to the bully inside, this world needs you, clear your mind of negative things, kick the enemy out. Stop letting this hold you down. Take up your armor and fight the good fight, light the fires inside and run off all the darkness. Shine so brightly that a shadow cannot exist in your presence!

Set your minds on things above, not earthly things. Col 3:2

This world needs you, future generations need you, the current generation needs you, you need you, and I need you. Clear your mind of all things negative refill and overflow it with positive. Choose your thoughts, and Shine on baby, shine on!❤️
