You… Why do you think the world doesn’t want us to work on ourselves first? They tell us it’s selfish when in fact they’re being selfish by not wanting what is best for us! You can’t possibly take care of others if you’re broken down inside.
You need to learn to work in the OVERFLOW! Fill your cup! Make yourself a priority! It’s not being selfish it’s being selfless. You know that if you felt better inside that you would be a better parent, friend, co-worker, spouse, contributor to the earth. Grumpy people are simply no fun at all!
Here are some things you need to start scheduling into your day.
1. QUIET TIME: Meditation, Prayer, find a way to completely calm your mind. Each time it wonders, get a calming picture in your head to focus back to, a completely still body of water, a sky of clouds passing by, wind blowing in a field. Make your breath like the waves of the ocean. (I am a very active minded person so this has been a God send- and was very hard to do at first-but a very important feature to get my mind under control)
2. EXERCISE: Make time in your day to take a walk, lift some weights, or play some sports. The amount of time you need, needs to be reflected according to your goals. Even if you feel perfectly healthy you still need to walk at the very least, every day.
What are your health goals? The Tribe likes to do #5KaDay. Some days it may not be all at same time, it may be a mile in the morning, one at lunch or one after dinner! Some days are filled with amazing meetings with amazing people who are becoming life changers! Some times we walk and talk for our meeting! It really gets the ideas flowing when the blood is moving and we feel much better afterwards too!
3. READ!!! Find some books that will help YOU believe in YOU. WORK THAT MIND MUSCLE! #Mindercise Try some of these books that we are currently reading such as: Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale, The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, The Power of I am by Joel Osteen, Secret of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker, or The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhymes.
You need to set meetings with yourself, time in your schedule, Non-Negotiables – These are unbreakable commitments! Put them into effect in your life and WATCH YOURSELF GROW! Amazing things are ahead!
